Welcome to Day #3 of World Cup Soccer inspired writing (Wow, that’s a mouthful!). Today’s InkStart takes you back to those wonderful lists you made yesterday — specifically, to your Exciting Moves list:
Choose one of the exciting moves from your list from yesterday and write instructions to teach someone how to make the same move. Be sure to draw a picture of a player making that move.
If you did not make an Exciting Moves list, pick an item from one of your other lists and create an illustration and write a description of that item. Use as many of your senses as you can: hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, smelling. When we read your description, we should feel like we are hearing, seeing, tasting, touching, and smelling what you imagine.
Oh, and by the way, how cool is it that you are finding things to write about from a list you wrote! Lists are pieces of writing on their own. But, they can also become a way to BRAINSTORM our ideas. Lists are great sources for ideas that we can turn into more developed writing. Your lists are your own InkStarts!
